The role is responsible for leading the Decision Support & Analytics/Process Optimization team within Global Supply Chain/Order Management. This team will support all GSC departments to drive optimal reporting and analytics resources/ tools are available, implemented, and utilized, as well as supporting/driving process optimization. This role will also collaborate with GSC executive management to align/prioritize team initiatives/projects. The results should support GSC operating commitments fill rates, inventory efficiency, operating expenses, process development, risk assessment, and employee development.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Working with team to drive better data foundation for effective tools/reporting (50%)
  • Partnering with GSC/HMH leadership to drive improved utilization of tools, process optimization, and improved skills. (30%)
  • Alignment of team goals with GSC/HMH goals (10%)
  • Researching/learning technology options (10%)

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to bridge operational to technical gaps and provide vision to system and process opportunities
  • Ability to lead, share, and drive a vision both with executive management as well as through team
  • Communication - Both Written and Oral
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze data and gather meaningful conclusions
  • Process analysis/improvement

EDUCATION &
Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Experience with business intelligence concepts and tools
  • Team Leadership

Preferred:

  • SQL Experience
  • SAP Experience
  • APICS:
    CPIM
  • Experience in the Publishing industry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls and online meetings

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
