Information Technology Specialist (Network)

Performs work that involves planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance of hardware or software systems using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration. Implements security plans, policies, and preventive maintenance schedules. Utilizes diagnostic tools and techniques to verify operability, optimize the functionality of networks and/or systems, and to diagnose/recover failed systems. Carries out routine maintenance, upgrade, and support of hardware, operating systems, and/or applications software. Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities. Manages network rights and access to systems and equipment. Interprets and applies information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. Prepares and presents reports and briefings to technical staff Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education (24 semester hours) in computer science/engineering, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management, or fields that required the development or adaptation of information technology applications, systems, or networks. OR Specialized experience as follows:
1. Performing complex network installations and remote configuration of various network devices. 2. Reporting, responding to, and resolving network service requests. Experience in remote troubleshooting and repair with tier 1 onsite support. 3. Preparing presentations, delivering network training, and communicating complex network issues telephonically to customers in remote locations. 4. Evaluating/troubleshooting network systems (design, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance), and developing solutions to improve network performance. All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following competencies as they relate to providing IT network services:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
