Senior Accountant - CPA
General Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for assuring that relevant financial transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with corporate policies; executing certain financial processes in accordance with approved policies in an environment of sound internal controls and preparation of review of monthly and annual reconciliations and reports on a timely basis.
Responsibilities include:
Assuring timely and accurate recording of specific daily and monthly accounting transactions
Assisting with month-end close process and quarterly reporting
Producing financial reports, analysis and processes in support of financial transactions (and in accordance with internal controls)
Reviewing specific balance sheet account reconciliations and other financial analysis at month-end and year-end
Preparing audit schedules for external auditors and acting as a liaison between the SSC Finance and auditors
Reviewing Consolidated Balance Sheet and Income Statements produced by the GSSC
Preparing monthly review and variance analyses as needed.
Performs extensive financial analysis on all facets of business operations, and prepares financial reports detailing project and business unit performance.
Provides assistance to Operations Management in the analysis of project performance and in the development of corrective measures as required.
Assisting in special projects and/or reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting - required
Valid CPA certificate - required
Minimum of five year's experience in accounting - required
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and be able to execute complex reconciliation on a timely basis.
Excellent general accounting skills - required
Must have advanced/expert level of Excel
Preferences:
Stable work history highly preferred
Experience in JDE

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
