Fork Lift Fleet Mechanic
The Fork Lift Fleet Mechanic III will perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to material handling equipment, and other fleet vehicles as directed by Fleet Manager.

Shift and Schedule
This is a full time permanent position working on variable shifts. This position will ask that you have the flexibility to work as a floater. You will be asked to go to various facilities and work on fleet vehicles. Must be open to local travel, overtime and weekends as the business needs.
Position Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all fleet equipment
Perform heavy duty repair, preventative maintenance, and diagnosis of transmissions, brakes, engines, steering and electrical systems, and electronic and hydraulic components. Safely use welding and cutting tools (Arc, Mig, and Gas).
Possess mechanical aptitude in the following areas, but not limited to: gas, diesel, electric and LP power systems.
Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary.
Proficient in the following areas of maintenance:
Preventative Maintenance
Electrical
Minor engine work
Engine electronics
Suspension
Chassis/frame
Brakes
Drive train
Hydraulics
Cab and body
Welding and fabrication
Respond to service calls and pick up and deliver vehicles.
Operate in a safe, well organized, and clean work environment (must be able to tolerate hot and cold temperatures depending on the season).
Input data accurately and in a timely manner in to the DPS fleet maintenance software program (SAP EAM).
Maintain records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections) and complete all necessary documentation, including vehicle records.
Order and inventory parts.
Adhere to OSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory compliance standards.
The training and experience that comes from the following certifications will be utilized as part of the position responsibilities and will be required to achieve within the first year of employment with Dr Pepper Snapple Group:
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification for maintenance and inspection program
Forklift Operator License

Qualifications
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
5 years of experience in all aspects of forklift, material handling, and fleet equipment repair to include maintenance
2 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite
Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
Must supply necessary tools to perform the job
Valid driver's license
