Universal Orlando Parking Attendants start our guest's day in the best possible way! Parking Attendants have the privilege of being, in most cases, the first Universal Orlando Team Member a guest will encounter. Share your excitement for Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios and CityWalk with each guest; assist with parking passes, wheelchairs, and the kennel.
Parking Attendants at Universal Orlando are responsible for:
Maintaining safety standards to ensure guest safety.
Informing guests of general Universal Orlando information.
Providing guests with requested assistance.
Promoting and providing exemplary guest service for guests.
Answering questions and offering information in a courteous manner.
Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Performing the assigned parking position.
Directing guests into appropriate parking areas.
Wheelchairs
Handling cash and non-cash transactions to rent wheelchairs, including providing accurate change and balancing daily revenue to daily sales.
The Kennel
Handling cash and non-cash transactions, including providing accurate change and balancing daily revenue to daily sales.
Monitoring and caring for the pets.
Ensuring this area remains clean and safe.
Requirements
To perform the role of a Parking Attendant successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
High school degree or GED preferred.
Valid Florida Driver's License preferred.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Requires basic math skills, understanding of cash transactions, basic computer experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
Requires stamina to endure long periods of walking, running and/or standing in high or low temperatures.
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Parking Attendant job. .
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:
Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) required to stand, walk, talk or hear.
Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) required to use hands and fingers to, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
Individuals will be responsible for moving from operational area to operational area, and reading policy and procedural manuals.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:
Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) be exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) be exposed to vibration.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
