Programmer Analyst, Guest System Support

SUMMARY The Guest Systems Support Team is responsible for participating in the overall sustainment, ongoing strategy, standardization, analysis, design, implementation and configuration of guest systems and services at Universal Parks and Resort, Orlando. The Guest Systems Support Team will work with solutions and tools built on an emerging cognitive computing platform and participate in a highly collaborative team environment leveraging agile methodologies and structure.
The Programmer Analyst's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes testing, analyzing and supporting software programs and applications. The Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Liaise with other technical staff to assist in resolving problems with mobile systems, software products or company software systems.
Design, run and monitor software tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Consistently test, configure and monitor software programs and applications according to requirements.
Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
Provide daily/weekly status reports and communicate open issues to team and manager.
Technologies used in Guest Systems Support may include:
Complex SQL Stored Procedures
Web and mobile application triage
Angular JS, HTML, Node JS,.NET/C# and/or Java development
Working understanding of Android and iOS platforms
Websphere Commerce
Tridion
Technical, Process, and Test automation
Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Core infrastructure design
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, technology, project management or software engineering and/or 1-3 years equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of work experience in IT, preferred in IT Support role
Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex system issues
Experience with one or more databases such as DB2, SQL Server etc.
Database foundations for modeling, configuration and information management in SQL Server
Troubleshooting web applications and web services experience
Administering IIS and Windows Service applications
Working understanding of Android and iOS platforms
Design and development of customized stored procedures, applications and reporting
Experience working in an Agile structured environment
Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Keen attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
Strong communication skills
Self-starter

Web support experience
Mobile design
Theme Park experience
ITIL Certified
