Job Purpose:
The psychiatrist provides direct patient care and supervises mid-level providers and other clinical staff in the provision of services. Work is performed with a high degree of independence and reviewed through observation, peer review, team conferences and EMR monitoring. Candidates must have a passion for working with adults and children with serious and persistent mental health conditions and their families.

Job Functions

  • Provide timely and appropriate psychiatric assessments to individuals dealing with complex psychiatric and substance use disorders.
  • Provide medication management and ongoing care consistent with evidence- based practices and established standards of care.
  • Active involvement in treatment planning with all team members to provide comprehensive services based on the individual's level of care needs.
  • Document services in a timely, accurate manner consistent with AHP's procedures and standards.
  • Perform sufficient volume of services to meet or exceed program productivity standards.
  • Provide consultation, supervision, mentoring and training to mid-level providers, residents, students, and other clinical staff as assigned.
  • Comply with peer review processes and staffing as required by AHP Policies.
  • Participate at a minimum one weekend per month in on sight on call at AHP inpatient units; there is additional compensation for on call duties.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.

Position
Qualifications:
Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire's insurance company.
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry and where applicable, completion of an accredited child psychiatry fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Board eligible in psychiatry and where applicable child psychiatry.
  • Must have a license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
  • Must have an active DEA number.
  • Must have knowledge of community behavioral health programs, services, and practices.
  • Experience in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric and substance use disorders.
  • Must have the ability to document and review services within an EMR.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
