Experience:
At-least five (5) full implementations or upgrade Software Development Life Cycle experiences with Oracles Enterprise Resource Planning suite of products, specifically, PeopleSoft, Oracle eBS, and NetSuite, Cloud Financials with regard to the design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
At-least five (5) years experience with and acting as subject matter expert on Oracle ERP products within the Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Acquire to Retire, Project Initiate to Close processes.
For eBusiness Suite:
excellent working knowledge in designing, developing, and implementing customizations, extensions, interfaces, queries, and reports using Oracle Forms, Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, API, OAF (Oracle Application Framework), SOA, Workflows, Rest API, BI Publisher, and OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) on Release 12 through Cloud Financials.
For PeopleSoft Financials and People Tools:
excellent working knowledge in designing, developing, and implementing customizations, extensions, interfaces, queries, and reports using App designer, People Code, App Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, XML Publisher, PS Query and SQR reporting on Release 9.
2 through Cloud Financials.
Experience in Data Migration and Integration of Oracle modules with third-party applications.
Oracle certifications preferred.
At-least five (5) years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft Database products.
Demonstrated knowledge across infrastructure disciplines and technologies and has a broad understanding of IT standards and methodologies.
Strong functional, analytical, troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute in a team environment.

Summary:
The Sr.
Financial Systems Engineer spearheads all of the application development and support activities across the full Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Applications portfolio.
Provides design oversight and serves as technical escalation point for the development, implementation and support of business applications and IT solutions within Information Technology.
Provides SME knowledge, technical planning expertise in the areas of application architecture, application design, software development, performance, testing, implementation, and infrastructure.
Ensures that the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements, and all development practices complies with the enterprise standards, best practices policies and procedures.
This role will drive technical implementation of in-house application development as well as integration of vendor purchased products and operates across technology boundaries by collaborating with others to fill in gaps in knowledge.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the solution design efforts for the system, ensuring that documented designs meet architectural, industry, and T+L IT standards.
Responsible for design specifications of one or more large or critical applications or systems.
(20%) Analyze complex business and systems requirements, and designs solutions for applications, data, processes, interfaces, controls, outputs, environment, infrastructure tools/utilities and/or testing that fit within the recommended time frame, architecture, standards and budget.
(15%) Lead design and development of formalized solution methodologies using structured software design patterns and best practices.
(15%) Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into high level design (HLD), low level design (LLD), interface design document (IDD), using structured software design patterns and best practices.
(20%) Ensure solution design is in alignment with Enterprise guidelines, meets business expectations, performance SLAs, architectural standards, and meets or surpasses quality benchmarks.
(10%) Reviews the Solution Architecture document and creates the necessary design artifacts and contributes to project plans and cost estimates.
(10%) Work with developers to develop answers to ad-hoc technical problems and ensures the low-level design adheres to the application design as well as Development Standards, Best Practices, Security Guidelines and Architecture direction.
(10%) Other Job Functions:
Work with Oracle support to resolve product related issues and escalate as necessary within the Oracle Critical Accounts contact.
Address all system related issues with appropriate timeliness to ensure compliance with the Financial Close schedule.
Liaise with end-users on clarification of incidents/problems and provide impact analysis when applicable for improved service response times.
Work closely with end users to identify and explain process and data discrepancies.
Document best practices, issue resolution approach and root cause analysis.
Drive critical discussions on functional process changes, and present findings and key metrics in formal presentations with business counterparts.
Conduct feasibility and cost analysis studies for applicable enhancements and new initiatives.
Participate in meetings to determine business needs, develop technical specifications and design solutions based on module capabilities.
Manage service improvement initiatives with Business Super Users, internal IT and project teams and vendors in identifying and leading evolutions in system performance, availability, and data quality.
Actively participate in application upgrades, fully understand new and enhanced functionality delivered by the upgrade; become familiar with the upgrade test scripts and provide reliable post-upgrade support.
Document solution and configure Oracle ERP products based on documentation, ensuring thorough testing is performed prior to roll out.
Maintain a current knowledge of all Oracle ERP applications/modules used by Travel & Leisure.
Research and provide recommendations on applications that will solve business problems or gaps identified following system upgrades.
Identify additional opportunities to enhance the alignment of business processes and application capabilities.
Analyze applications to ensure maximum utilization of features for all users.
Assist in year-end processes and financial and external reporting related system needs.
Troubleshoot issues, perform patch impact analysis, develop test scripts for unit and integration testing, training, administration and documentation for Incident and Change Management.
Responsible for creation of the reports to support the internal/external reporting process.
Responsible for execution of SOX activities and necessary actions to maintain SOX compliance.
Ability to perform the application upgrades and migrations.
Monitor application performance, availability, and utilization for stability Responsible for training and mentoring other Oracle ERP resources within the team where applicable.
Ability to bridge architecture and development workforce in implementing solutions with sufficient infusion of architectural constructs, standards and best practices Planning work for teams to ensure IP retention within T+L Ability to work with vendor delivery teams and contractors in delivery practice to ensure quality software product delivery Ability to understand a variety of T+L standard technologies and frameworks Ability to understand and retain SME level knowledge in a portfolio across several portfolios to be part of the Intellectual Property stewards for T+L Availability and ability to collaborate with stakeholders in person and via electronic collaboration technologies to ensure sufficient team participation Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence and report same to reporting manager Conduct peer-reviews and lead reviews and provide feedback Provide accurate and detailed weekly task reports.

Bachelors degree in Information Technology / Software Engineering / Computer Science / Business.
Masters degree is a plus.
Hands-on, proven expertise and experience with implementations and application support of off the shelf and SaaS based Oracle ERP applications.
Primary career focus on Oracle eBusiness Suite or PeopleSoft Financials as well as expertise with NetSuite / Oracle Cloud Financials and other related technologies in a Financial Systems Shared Services environment.
System Development Life Cycle - Methodology knowledge and practical experience.
Project Management Life Cycle understanding of PMLC.
Understanding of Data Privacy including PII and PCI Compliance.
Ability to compose technical specifications, including requirements specification, API specifications, Functional specifications.
Ability to organize, prioritize and direct work activities.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with IT management personnel, peers and outside vendors.
Strong functional, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in working with offshore consultants within a 24/7 support model.
Experience with XML and enterprise integration technologies including Web Services (SOAP/WSDL).
Experience with both cloud and on-premises technologies preferred.
Possession of outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills.
Strong business analysis background.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
