1401 JOB SUMMARYThe in-house insurance defense attorney will be responsible for first-party property and casualty litigation.
This role is a hybrid position.
A candidate in this role would be required to work on-site every Thursday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSo Manage and be responsible for a full caseloado Prepare assessments of cases, including factual summations and legal researcho Take and defend depositionso Propound and respond to discoveryo Represent HCPCI at hearings and mediationso Prepare for trial and act as HCPCI's trial attorneyREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEo Ability to aggressively pursue HCPCI's interests in and out of court.
o Must be self-sufficient (able to work independent of a paralegal or secretary), selfmotivated and able to multitask.
o Must be able to use all relevant technology, including calendaring, e-filing, etc.
o Experience utilizing online legal research systems such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is a pluso Detail orientated, committed to professionalismo Team oriented, proactive approach to all situationso Clear, concise oral and written communication skillsEDUCATION & TRAININGEXPERIENCEo Experience in first party insurance property defense claims preferredLICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONSo Member in good standing of the Florida Bar#J-18808-Ljbffr Recommended Skills Assessments Attention To Detail Claim Processing Communication Hardworking And Dedicated Lawsuits Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
