The Opportunity The UCF Libraries are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team at the UCF Downtown Campus Library.
Under the direct supervision of the Downtown Library LTA Supervisor, the Library Technical Assistant II works at a paraprofessional level to provide support for the general functions of the UCF Downtown Campus Library.
Responsibilities:
Functions performed in this position include but are not limited to:
Works scheduled hours at the public service desk, circulating Downtown Campus Library materials and providing general information assistance to UCF and Valencia College students, staff, and faculty, as well as community members.
Responsible for facility when working on evenings & weekends.
Coordinates with the Main Library Circulation Staff regarding fines, overdue materials, missing and lost books, and book bills.
Coordinates the processing of interlibrary, intercampus, and document delivery transactions, as well as the tracking and transport of materials to and from the main library.
Supervises the Reserve Collection and works with the Department Head and the LTA Supervisor to communicate Course Reserve policies and procedures to faculty in compliance with UCF Policy.
Processes donations and gifts to the library and assists with collections projects.
Creates, designs, or produces library signs, displays, and exhibits.
Opens and closes the library at assigned times.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2
years of relevant experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in library duties such as circulation, fines, reserves, or interlibrary loan.
Excellent customer service skills.
Computer skills.
General office skills.
