59 Responsibilities :
Research ongoing communication in external markets that can educate and guide leadership regarding incidents affecting property Capture incoming calls, prioritize emergency and non-emergency information, and accurately dispatch Cast Members in a timely manner as needed Audibly intake and transcribe communication, and document for leaders using Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software Actively use radio telecommunication and computer technology to record field operations for Guests and Cast Members Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned by leadership Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality Deliver clear and concise verbal and written messages through concise communication skills that facilitate and build a mutual understanding and positive relationship with a wide variety of external and internal partners Basic Qualifications :
To be successful as a Security Specialist, you will need:
A valid Florida Driver's License Ability to multi-task, which includes listening, entering data, accessing information, and dispatching services at the same time Flexible, adaptable, willing, and able to calmly adjust to changing priorities in a high pressure and fast paced team workplace Ability to work with limited direct leadership and use good judgment when making decisions Experience in fundamental business skills and proficiency in standard office software programs, such as word processing Preferred
Qualifications:
Here are the outstanding preferred skills we are looking for:
Proven knowledge of Walt Disney World property, structures, resources, policies, and procedures One year or more of experience in positions of growing responsibility within security, military police, law enforcement field, Emergency Management (EM), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), dispatch experience or related field Certified 911 Dispatcher Familiarity with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software Ability to type 30 WPM Additional Information :
Schedule Availability Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:
00am while some may end as late as 3:
00am, 4:
00am, 5:
00am Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to be flexible with work-hours in order to respond to urgent issues, to the situational needs and requirements of the workload.
The Security Specialist position is a costumed hourly role.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
