The Opportunity The College of Nursing seeks two part-time employees to for research support positions on their team.
This position will provide support for clinical research studies in the College of Nursing.
Research Support employees recruit participants, collect data and conducts data management for research studies under the supervision of the faculty.
Research support may be required to work at various locations, including the College of Nursing campus, Orlando Health Medical Center, Advent Health Medical Center and other clinical sites, as needed.

Responsibilities:
Screens and recruits for potential participants who may be eligible to participate in the study.
Coordinates/schedules participants for interviews/data collection.
Completes the informed consents process.
Collects data by questionnaires or qualitative interviews.
Participates in the ordering and organization of data collection supplies.
Abstracts data from medical records, as needed.
Performs lab procedures to collect, analyze, transport and store biological specimens (e.
g.
, blood, saliva), as needed.
Enters data into study databases (e.
g.
, Qualtrics).
Prepares study materials.
Maintains accurate records through daily data entry and tracking of participant data.
Communicates with other research team members.
Participates at weekly project meetings, as needed.
Ensures data are maintained in proper format as required by study sponsor.
Generates project reports to the supervisor or study coordinator Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Six months or more of research experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Ability to meet deadlines and handle diverse tasks simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Creative thinking, self-directed and detail oriented.
Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with multiple nursing faculty.
Familiar with programs such as Excel and Qualtrics.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
