Also located on the downtown Orlando campus, adjacent to the Orlando Health Cancer Institute, is the Marjorie and Leonard Williams Center for Proton Therapy the only proton therapy center in Central Florida and one of five in the state.
Medical OncologyThe Medical Oncology Unit provides comprehensive care on a 24-hour,7 days per week basis.
It has 30 beds located in the Charles Lewis Pavilion.
Clinical activities include:
IV therapy, blood/blood product administration, antineoplastic and biotherapy administration, respiratory therapy, wound and drain care, blood glucose monitoring, pain management, supportive care, and patient and family education.
Bone Marrow TransplantThe Bone Marrow Transplant Unit provides comprehensive care on a 24-hour,7 days per week basis.
It has 4 beds located in the Charles Lewis Pavilion.
Clinical activities include:
IV therapy, blood/blood products administration (including stem cells), antineoplastic (high dose) and biotherapy administration, respiratory therapy, wound and drain care, blood glucose monitoring, pain management, supportive care, and patient and family education.
Position SummaryProvides leadership & operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit or units.
Accountable for achievement of department and hospital goals in concert with other hospital and medical staff leadership.
Qualifications:
Education/TrainingGraduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree inBusiness or health-related field preferred.
Licensure/CertificationCurrent licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
May require one or more of the following certifications based on the assigned patient population:
o Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)o Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS)o Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) within 2 years.
ExperienceTwo (2) years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting and one (1) year leadership experience.
Recommended Skills Advanced Life Support Basic Life Support Certified Nurse Practitioner Credentialing Leadership Nurse Licensure Compact Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
