Compliance Specialist Job Description This full-time, salaried, individual contributor role (Temporary Assignment) is responsible for legal regulatory compliance for a complex and dynamic real estate development business at Storyliving by Disney(TM).
This candidate will have proactive involvement in reviewing marketing and sales programs, initiatives and collateral.
The person selected will demonstrate excellence in critical thinking, collaborating with peers and internal clients, work ethic and time management.
You will:
Perform detailed review of all Storyliving by Disney marketing and sales programs, initiatives and collateral to ensure copy and offers comply with legal, regulatory, branding guidelines and policies.
Partner with internal clients (including, Marketing and Legal teams) in a professional manner regarding the compliance review process, requirements, timelines, and due dates to ensure materials are timely processed and approved for use.
Participate in weekly Marketing team huddle meetings and other meetings as required.
Form and maintain positive, constructive working relationships with internal clients and peers.
Participate in/contribute to team projects (research, registrations, licensing, training, auditing, document control and miscellaneous other projects/business initiatives).
You will have:
Confirmed experience and strong understanding of legal/marketing compliance.
Confirmed familiarity with legal research techniques and resources.
Strong proven written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex subjects in a succinct manner.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Demonstrated attention to detail with strong prioritization and interpersonal skills to enhance efficiency, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ability to balance multiple priorities with minimal direction.
Proven track record of working independently and as part of a high-functioning, collaborative team of compliance professionals The ability to establish relationships at all levels of the organization.
Illustrated emotional intelligence and ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.
Exhibited positive demeanor and work ethic.
Strong time management skills.
Computer proficiency in the Windows Office suite.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Confirmed marketing compliance experience.
Experience in a real estate development or related organization.
Established creative problem-solving skills.
Experience working with Workfront or similar project management application.
Familiarity with Westlaw or similar legal research application.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Preferred Education:
