Job Description As the Tax Manager, you will be a direct point of contact for diverse clients, managing ongoing assignments, and contributing to specialized consulting projects as needed.

Your responsibility extends to collaborating with a dynamic team while maintaining high ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality, independence, and objectivity.
You will also oversee and guide associates at various levels.
Core
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the preparation and review of federal tax returns for the company, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax forms.
Review and manage deliverables from staff, including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for diverse entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Non-Profit, gift, and multi-state).
File consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and related business filings with precision and timeliness.
Identify and implement process improvements in company tax procedures.
Devise and execute strategic tax planning strategies for federal and state taxes, ensuring compliance and maximizing benefits.
Lead and supervise the tax team members in preparing components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax-related documents.
Plan and organize the overall return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs within the tax team.
Implement effective control procedures across all tax-related processes.
Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits, crafting responses and preparing schedules as needed.
Monitor and communicate the implications of legislative and regulatory tax law developments to management and the tax team, devising strategies to leverage taxation changes.
Provide support for internal audits and specialized tax-related projects.
Conduct reviews of tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
Mentor and guide tax team members to enhance their effectiveness and engagement.
Skills And Education:
Bachelor's degree in business required.
CPA license is mandatory.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, certification a plus.
Familiarity with Home Building Accounting and Public Accounting beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of Bill.
com advantageous.
Flexibility in schedule, with availability for additional hours during seasonal peaks.
