The objective of the job is to support our ongoing environmental efforts to help landfills reduce pollution by controlling the gas generated naturally by the decomposition of garbage. CEC is looking for a long term asset to our growing Southern region. We are growing at a fast rate and will be increasing the size of our construction traveling crews. Initially the qualified individual will be expected to provide support to our existing landfill monitoring, construction and engineering services. As new projects begin the individual will be required to manage and maintain contact with clients and manage the compliance schedule. Field work will be conducted at various landfills around the east coast. Travel will be necessary up to a month at a time. Job responsibilities to include:
Properly operate and maintain landfill gas collection systems on a timely and cost effective basis to achieve performance standards Exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50lbs on occasion Wear OSHA Level D and required personal protective monitoring devices Input, edit and interpret data collected in field and complete daily activity logs, checklists, forms, in Excel and Word Troubleshoot, inspect and repair equipment and machinery Operate heavy equipment to include excavators,
dozers, manlifts, and off-road forklifts. Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.) Landfill gas system construction HDPE pipe fusion Minimum Qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma (College Degree Preferred Engineering/Science) Valid Drivers License Must be at least 18 years or older Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S. Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
