DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Feed & bathe horses Assist with vet visits Care for horses when injured or ill, (as directed by Owner & Vet), through administration of medication or treatment of injuries Muck stalls several times a day Maintain all areas of ranch including barn, stalls, etc.
Treat and handle animals in a kind and caring manner Chicken coop duties (10 chicken) Provide care for two dogs, occasionally Must be punctual, have good attendance and have a flexible schedule Other duties as assigned by Owner
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must have a minimum of four years experience working with horses Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity without direct supervision.
Valid driver's license; clean driving record PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent walking; standing; stooping; kneeling; bending; climbing; etc.
Frequent talking/hearing Exposure to outside weather; rain, sun/heat, cold etc.
Lifting / pushing / lowering / pulling anywhere from 25lbs to 75lbs on a regular basis.
Visual Acuity Unavoidable Hazards:
Routine exposure to animals A flexible schedule is required.
The selected candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays.
This is a non-smoking ranch.
