Quick Apply Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY As a Maintenance Tech II you would be responsible for maintaining the guestrooms, public spaces, back of the house areas in good repair ensuring an attractive and well-maintained property with your primary focus on guest relations and problem resolution.

Duties and
Responsibilities:
Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little or no supervision.
Inspect and evaluate the physical and safety condition of facilities with daily walk throughs of the building in order to determine the type of work required.
Note safety hazards, lack of illumination, broken equipment (such as ice makers, fans, extractors, pumps), areas needing painting, repair work, renovations and the issues with furniture and equipment.
Communicate areas that need attention for assignment or take immediate corrective action when needed.
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment (e.
g.
, pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.
g.
, plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
Display thorough knowledge of building systems, emergency response, and building documentation including reading standard blue prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.
Display working knowledge and skills the following:
air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and/or general building management.
Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough clean-up of the painting or repair area.
Display working knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to promote a clean, safe, and secure environment including Safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines Follow Hazardous Material Management Program Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE) Use the Lockout/Tag-out system before performing any maintenance work.
Use correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Qualifications:
Post high school training in engineering/maintenance related discipline.
Minimum of 2 year of building maintenance/housekeeping experience Hotel Experience a plus.
