Summary:
The Business Operations Associate works in an exciting fast-paced distribution environment receiving, sorting, tracking, and shipping of assets from all aspects of the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts business.
Property Control (PC) is responsible for the appropriate disposition/acquisition of all Domestic TP&R assets removed from service and ensuring the necessary approvals are received and financial entries booked.
Handles all interactions with internal partners across Walt Disney Parks & Resorts property as well as DVC, DCL, DATG, DCP, ABD, and D23.
Ensure compliance with safe handling practices, internal controls, and Property Control Policies.
Responsibilities:
This position will learn and perform a variety of positions within the team.
This position's expectations include, but are not limited to:
Operational Support, Forklift Driving, Inventory Control, 3rd Party Vendor Support, Guest Service, and Special Event Operations.
The team receives hundreds of assets a day and the expectation is that the processing of assets is done quickly to ensure appropriate controls.
Moderate supervision required and is self-directed to execute against established controls, procedures, and policies.
Manage and complete multiple tasks concurrently.
Moderate level of discretion and judgment based on training and established controls and procedures.
A significant portion of their role will require direction from shift managers / operational leads regarding the day-to-day responsibilities of the shift.
Prioritize and complete multiple tasks concurrently.
There are multiple different tasks and functions assigned to a Business Operations Associate.
The Associate is scheduled to perform these tasks and may perform one task during their shift and/or multiple depending on daily operational needs impacted by available staffing, operational workload, etc.
Training is given in each function during a specified training period for you to succeed.
Additional training/instruction may be required for some tasks.
The Retail Support function will handle many different tasks in support of our Cast Sales Center and the many events held to provide a unique Disney Difference.
Responsibilities may include:
Operation of forklift, pallet jacks, and numerous industrial tools.
Sorting of assets based on category and perceived sale date.
Receiving and staging of assets for sale in the PC retail center.
Price items for sale as directed.
Provide operational support coverage during vacations and ADO.
The Receiving Support function will handle many different tasks in support of our Yard Receiving area to accommodate the multiple liquidation channels we have to maximize landfill diversion Responsibilities may include:
Operate forklift, pallet jacks and other industrial tools and equipment to load/unload vehicles and organize assets within the warehouse or receiving yard.
Receiving and verification of support documentation of assets delivered to PC from numerous lines of business.
Commodity sorting for appropriate handling for recycling outlets.
Sorting of assets for appropriate disposition channels based on established guidelines.
Rigorous labor moving assets sometimes weighing more than 800lbs.
Basic
Qualifications:
Years of Directly Related Experience required:
1 to less than 3 years Excellent written and verbal communication skills Capability to work outdoors and be exposed to different weather conditions Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior Warehouse, Environmental background, and/or custodial experience Bilingual a plus Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
