3 55 minutes ago Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures.
Maintains contact with staff, vendors and clients and observes confidentiality of client and company matters.
The Accounts Receivable specialist provides financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate order entry, billing, payment and collections of accounts.
The specialist also assists team members with inquiries, customer issues, account research and works closely with the team in performing and overseeing daily tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
Generates accounting statements and reports.
Researches cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator.
Maintains telephone contact with customers on receivable matters as directed by manager.
Updates company CRM system with customer demographic and product information Processes service and account cancellations in CRM system Generates and sends out customer invoices or statements Follows up on and collects customer payments Carries out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines Monitors customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities Researches and resolves payment discrepancies Generate age analysis report and reviews Follows established procedures for order to cash processing Processes credit card payments Prepares bank deposits Investigates and resolves customer inquiries Communicates with customers via phone, email, or mail Prepares mail for the department Provides requested documentation for audits Monthly status reporting of assigned tasks Special projects as assigned Qualifications KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of accounts receivable Knowledge of office administration and procedures Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures Knowledge of general accounting principals Proficient in relevant computer software Good mathematical background Some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions Must be able to type 40 WPM Ability to operate office equipment, fax machine, copier, and printers.
Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment Effective oral and written communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
