com Who We're Looking For As a full-time BATL Assistant Manager, your role will be to share our passion for axe throwing by efficiently delivering a safe and ridiculously fun experience to our Guests.
Reporting to the venue General Manager, you will oversee your venue's Coaching staff and all facets of in-venue guest interaction from arrival to departure.

Your Specific Duties Will Include:
Leadership You will share our axe throwing enthusiasm in a fun and professional manner.
You will teach new staff Coaching techniques and how to improve their skills.
You will ensure that all events run smoothly and delegated daily duties are completed by staff.
You may be involved in dispute resolution between staff members and will often provide coaching to staff who may be struggling with a certain part of their duties, recording and reporting staff infractions or disputes so that they may be escalated to the GM as needed.
Coaching You will teach guests how to throw an axe and improve their technique throughout their visit.
You will enforce a variety of safety and booking policies while ensuring the guest experience does not suffer.
You are on the front line for problem solving, troubleshooting, and supporting the coaches to ensure all events are running smoothly.
Operations You are responsible for setting up the team for success at the start of each day with a clean, orderly, well-stocked venue, and ensuring the venue is closed up properly at the end of the shift.
You will manage cash and inventory, staff scheduling/breaks/assignments, event organization, and solving ad-hoc technology issues.
You will supervise Guest interaction, including de-escalation, in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
You will supervise (and cover as needed) Coaches' smooth flow of events, including tournament set-up, scoring, food and beverage ordering and serving, merchandise and trophy upselling, payment processing, and more.
Safety You will ensure that all equipment and safety supplies are maintained up to our high standards, all procedures are followed by guests and other staff, and first aid response is delivered in exceptional cases.
Facilities You will record inventory levels, monthly merchandise counts, and ordering needs.
You will supervise Coaches and other staff in venue maintenance including delegation of tasks such as cleaning duties, event prep, boards and targets prep, and general venue appearance.
Your Skills And Qualifications You must LOVE throwing axes! Don't worry if you haven't tried it yet, trust us:

You have a positive personality with strong English communication skills and you enjoy using humour in a group setting.
Fluency in other language(s) is an asset.
You have a compelling interest in coaching and teaching, and an enthusiasm for patiently sharing new experiences with others.

You have strong leadership skills, displaying high confidence and emotional EQ to supervise a diverse team and manage group dynamics in a setting of friendly competition.
