Summary:
Craig Technologies has an opening for a Plant Design Sr. Engineer III. The position will support the design and development of NASA's Mobile Launcher II for the Space Launch System program. Role Overview The essential duties of the Senior Pipe Support Engineer include designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. This position will work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Additionally, this position will coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. The ideal candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment. Basic Qualifications Level 1:
BS degree in engineering with a minimum of 6 years' experience. Level 2:
BS degree in engineering with a minimum of 9 years' experience. US Citizenship required. Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen, and background check. GTSTRUDL intermediate level Pipe support or Structural steel design experience Minimum
Qualifications:
Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 piping codes. Prior experience using a pipe support structural analysis program. Preferred
Qualifications:
GT Strud or STAAD frame anaylsis experience. Familiar with Navisworks Familiar with MathCAD Prior experience modeling pipe supports in a 3D model. PE Registration. Previous Bechtel project experience. Desired
Experience:
o Previous Bechtel and/or DOD or DOE project experience. o Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint. o Experience with Creo 4.0. o Experience with AutoCAD.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
