Eos Lightmedia is looking for a dynamic Recruitment Specialist / HR Coordinator to join their team as a recruitment expert.
This position will work with the HR Consultant to ensure day-to-day recruitment operations are managed effectively to support the organization's growing team.
This position will be promoting and implementing strategic recruitment practices to attract and retain successful candidates through market research, social media usage, and other best practices.
You will assist with the day to day coordination of recruitment processes and initiatives and be responsible for the full recruitment cycle, including onboarding and scheduling new hire orientation.
As the Talent Specialist/HR Coordinator you will be responsible for entering employee information in our HRIS system, maintaining employee records and managing the pool of independent contractors for our various projects.
What you will be doing:
Recruitment:
Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing to offer, and everything in between Ensure all screening, hiring and selection are done following employment laws and regulations Be the recruitment hub for managers posting positions as requested, along with coordinating and scheduling interviews and keeping the lines of communication open regarding the recruitment process Conduct resume screening, and perform both email and telephone screening interviews You are the face of the organization leading and participating in interviews alongside managers, or independently when needed You will process required clearances such as, criminal background checks, references checks, and education verification when needed Assist with the creation of offer letters and employment contracts Follow best practices for recruitment and stay up to date with the latest recruitment methods - improving the process to support growing recruitment needs and maximize candidate reach Report preparation on the recruitment process and other reports as needed You are comfortable communicating with candidates via email, phone and social media HR Coordination:
Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with state and federal laws Processing Human Resources paperwork in a timely manner Maintaining digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and other items as needed Conduct new employee orientation and assist with on-boarding process Responding to, and routing employee questions and concerns Coordinate with payroll to ensure paperwork is completed correctly for new hires Benefits administration Other duties as assigned Your skills and abilities:
You are a highly motivated individual with a proven ability to work within a fast-paced, growth- focused environment.
You have a great sense of humour and don't take yourself too seriously.
You have a degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience At least two (2) years in HR and/or recruiting; full life cycle recruiting experience; construction industry experience an asset Extensive knowledge of social networking platforms, online communications, and other sourcing channels Familiarity with relevant employment laws Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality in all areas You have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills along with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
