Summary:
The Houseperson is a part of the Rooms / Housekeeping team and is responsible for supporting the housekeepers in resort accommodation cleanliness through deep cleaning, removing soiled linens, keeping stock cart supplied, cleaning guest common areas and other duties as assigned.
Key
Responsibilities:
Greet guests, answer questions, and provide amenities upon request.
Receive linen supplies from laundry and stocks linen closets.
Strip soiled linen from beds as required for laundering.
Assist housekeepers on making bunk beds.
Remove trash collected by housekeepers.
Maintain guest common areas such as corridor, landings, guest elevators, pool @ homes, exterior of units.
Maintain housekeeping carts, stock supplies, and provide inventory counts.
Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
Move furniture, extra beds and turn mattresses as needed.
Secure lost items and turn in Manager daily.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Perform heavy duty work in accommodations, such heavy lifting and waxing and polishing floors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience Experience as a houseperson or willingness and aptitude to learn the role.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of performing role in a busy work environment Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights and holidays Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines / instructions in English Physical Requirements Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and / or reach repeatedly.
Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
Able to be on feet and moving around for entire shift.
