Academic Advancement Programs:
Academic Advancement Programs (AAP) prepares first generation, Pell-eligible, and underrepresented college students to pursue advanced degrees.
AAP works in collaboration with faculty, staff, national, and international partners to provide a range of graduate school preparation programs and services.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of initiatives designed to increase their awareness and knowledge of the graduate school application process, graduate school funding, summer research programs, and fellowship opportunities.
The Opportunity:
The position reports to the Assistant Director of Academic Advancement Programs (AAP), within the Division of Student Success (and Well-Being (SSWB).
With a focus on first generation, Pell-eligible, and underrepresented college students, AAP prepares UCF students to pursue graduate education.
The coordinator will oversee the campus-wide initiatives coordinated by AAP, which aim to assist students interested in applying to graduate school.
Responsibilities:
This position works directly on the student side of the open assess programs related to the Academic Advancement Programs (AAP).
This position supports current programming and will grow/expand initiatives within AAP and SSWB.
Coordinate the graduate school peer coaching and peer leadership efforts for AAP, including selection, training, assessment, and other program logistics.
Responsible for the coordination and marketing of pre-graduate school application workshops, events and on-line curriculum related to AAP graduate school preparation initiatives.
Create and maintain resources, publicity and materials related to graduate school preparation/advising.
Work on centralizing communication regarding preparation for graduate school.
Creates collaborations with university stakeholders to infuse graduate school preparation initiatives into various university program that serve first-generation, low income and underrepresented undergraduate students.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2
years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla.
Stat.

Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of technology platforms such as cloud computing, database management, and web technologies.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, as well as adapt to new technologies and digital trends.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of academic advising and college, career, financial aid and economic literacy activities and services for students.
