2K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Purpose of Position Continually evaluates the progress of Finishing team and every concrete pour to ensure Safety, Quality, and Finishing Procedures and Budgets are maintained in accordance with company policy and ACI standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Significant experience is required with no less than 5 years combined experience as a Concrete Superintendent.
This position requires superior organizational, supervisory and communication skills.
A self-motivated individual that is detail oriented with the ability to complete multiple tasks with consistency and accuracy on the finishers/equipment Team.
Exceptional follow-up skills are required, and the candidate should possess the ability to adapt to change.
Communication skills include verbal as well as written.
PC skills include the use MS Word, Excel, Outlook, cost codes, Schedules, Cost analysis, the internet and familiarity with menu driven software is helpful.
Strategic thinking, identify and resolve potential problems is a must.
Must provide or be able to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
Knowledge of Concrete Mix Designs, ACI standards, Laser Screeds, FF/FL Knowledge, and Concrete Properties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Exercise Good Leadership, well planned out, organized and with good communication.
Motivate and inspire employees through positive reinforcement and timely feedback on expected safety, quality, and productivity related goals.
Help Build the bench with and thru the Team by providing resources to subordinates for opportunities for continuous training and growth.
Daily scheduling of pours and all associated team members / manpower Manage the maintenance and usage of all finishing equipment (riders, walk-behind trowels, laser screeds, etc.
), including consumables (pans, blades etc.
) Lead all work to the meet the overall budget as it relates to concrete placement, finishing, and saw cutting.
Work directly with the Superintendents, Project Managers and Equipment Coordinators to schedule concrete pours and equipment logistics.
Ensure that all time is submitted daily and is accurately coded to the correct project and cost codes.
Hire field personnel in a manner consistent with the company's policies and practices.
Conduct annual written evaluations and reviews of concrete crew and Supervisory leadership.
Safety Perform the investigation of incidents for your crews (vehicle accidents, personal injury, and general liabilities).
Administer corrective action on safety violations to the team if needed.
Ensure that proper safety equipment is available for finishing crews and worn.
Quality Ensure that safe and reliable project that meets or exceeds customer expectations is built the first time, every time.
Ensure jobs are properly planned and set up for success from the job Turn over time frame and before.
Properly Communicate with the project team pre plane and build placement sizes and schedules as required by contract documents and schedules.
Scheduling and Productivity Plan and organize manpower and equipment resources efficiently by pre-surveying, forecasting of profit or loss, determine crew size and type, which reduces conflicts and resolve issues before construction.
Engage in work awarded immediately; helping project team build pour plans and sequencing of projects.
Strategically setting projects up for success.
Successful set up of jobs leads to Successful execution, this starts Early.
Attend weekly Concrete Coordination meeting with the Project Team.
Perform pre-pour site visits, to ensure work is ready and site logistics considered.
Determine manpower and equipment required for each pour.
