20 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Summary/Objective The Human Resources Assistant will assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources department with an emphasis on supporting recruitment and onboarding.
This position will be responsible for screening applications, contacting candidates, scheduling, and conducting interviews, and performing reference and background checks.
The Human Resources Assistant should be organized, detail oriented, and extremely comfortable with administering phone and email communication.
Essential Functions Assists with the recruitment and onboarding process by identifying candidates, conducting prescreening phone calls, scheduling interviews, and performing reference checks.
Posts vacant positions on various internal and external platforms.
Communicates candidate information and any scheduling updates to hiring managers.
Records hiring data on various tracking forms ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Assists with the onboarding process for new employees by sending new hire information to candidates and answering related questions.
Participates in the planning and execution of employee engagement events.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws concerning recruitment and hiring.
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
1 year of experience performing administrative/clerical duties.

Certifications:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Ascends/descends stairs throughout the museum.

Operates a computer and/or office equipment efficiently and accurately.
Manipulates and moves components weighing up to 25 pounds, including those that may be low to the ground or above eye level.
Frequently works in indoor environments.
Expected Hours of Work This position works 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Hours and days scheduled can vary based on need.
Travel N/A Telecommuting This position is required to be onsite 100% of the time.
