UCF's Advancement & Partnerships division comprises the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving and the UCF Foundation, Inc.
, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to assist donors wishing to offer private support to deliver resources beyond traditional funding sources, such as tuition, state support and government research grants.
We are a powerful team of 130
professionals who support the university by soliciting, accepting, and managing gifts as well as engaging alumni.
Together, we work with alumni, friends, corporations, parents, and others who seek to make gifts in support of priorities and initiatives in alignment with the university's strategic plan.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Training Specialist to join our Advancement Operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs, onboarding, and orientation, and fostering employee engagement.
This position primarily focuses on the onboarding and orientation experience and developing initiatives to grow employee engagement and retention.
Responsibilities:
Learning & Development (L&D) Develops, implements, and promotes an overarching learning philosophy and curriculum that incorporate professional, technical, and general training opportunities in partnership internal Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Advancement Operations.
Identifies existing training resources and integrates the curriculum into said cohesive learning development program.
Serves as the Workday and LinkedIn Learning SME, staying up to date on new learning opportunities and upcoming trainings.
On-boarding & Orientation Coordinates and leads on-boarding and orientation for new hires in partnership with the Director, Advancement Projects and Planning and new hire team.
This includes maintaining the training calendar and intranet articles associated with L&D related areas and partnering internally with SMEs to ensure new hires and existing staff are enrolled in and/or have access to the necessary training for their role.
Focuses on new hire experience within division and may be asked at times to partner with UCF learning leaders on new initiatives.
Documentation & Communication In partnership with Advancement Operations, provides input on content and tools to support the implementation of division wide L&D programs and initiatives including but not limited to NHO, Leadership Development, change management processes, interpersonal skills, and performance management, career and leadership development, performance, management, manager/supervisor training.
Oversees and creates the development of training materials, workbooks, job aids, etc.
Analysis & Tracking Identifies skills/knowledge gaps, Key Performance Metrics for new learning solutions and training needs in partnership with SMEs and the Advancement Operations team.
Analyzes and prepares recommendations for outside training vendors as appropriate.
Employee Engagement & Adoption Assists in the planning and implementation of employee engagement portions of all-staff events and town halls in partnership with administrative staff for the Sr.
Vice President for Advancement and Partnerships and Chief of Staff offices.
Promotes new tools and participates in training opportunities that assist with staff adoption of new policies, technical rollouts, and other changes.
Builds and sustains relationships with divisional SMEs.
Additional Duties - Provides support to Advancement Operations team members with other duties as assigned including training compliance tracking and internal communication drafting as needed.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4
years of relevant experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior Non-profit or foundation experience preferred Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
Experience with communication sites or intranet management.
Experience with developing, producing, and communicating, in written and verbal form, policies, training materials and presentations to various audiences.
Ability to possess high customer service and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in using evaluation metrics to assist in reviewing the effectiveness of educational program activities, recommending improvements, and assisting in executing recommendations.
Experience with learning management systems (preferably Workday) and e-learning tools.
Experience facilitating sessions in-person, virtually, and in Webcourses or other e-learning teaching experience.
Experience using Articulate Rise, Camtasia, or other training software for asynchronous learning.
Expertise in MS365 tools.

The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $72,583 - $88,713, depending on experience and education.
