KCI is seeking an entry level professional to help us meet the growing demand of development contractors and industrial facilities that need assistance tackling environmental issues.
Our core business focuses on helping clients with stormwater management and protecting water bodies.
KCI's is seeking a Stormwater Compliance Coordinator based in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities will be primarily office-based management of stormwater compliance projects and require very limited field work to conduct inspections.
This is considered a supporting role, and reports to the General Manager.
The primary role is to assist quality control and project coordination.
This role will uphold KCI policies, regulatory standards, and client expectations.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and ethical, have full availability, have a strong business acumen, and the ability to work in an intense and demanding environment.
The role will require knowledge and technical skills to maintain compliance with the Florida DEP Construction Generic Permit, prepare SWPPPs for construction and industrial projects, and be familiar with Best Management Practices (BMPs) for erosion and sediment control.
You may also possess knowledge and technical skills in water quality resources related to groundwater monitoring, watershed planning, environmental permitting, and other NPDES compliance programs.
This role is to help achieve a better workplace efficiency and meet compliance accuracy.
Proficiency Understanding of SWPPPs (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) and NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) inspections (construction and industrial).
Ability to review and understand construction project details.
Ability to navigate and research environmental permitting documents.
Develop and review construction and industrial SWPPPs.
Ability to effectively collaborate with leadership team to ensure success and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in multiple compliance databases.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (excel, word, outlook, teams, one drive, etc.
) Familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Upholds internal and external expectations.
Highly organized and able to give updates with clarity.
Highly efficient in daily communications.
Takes initiative to find solutions to internal and external challenges.
Responsibilities Develop and assemble SWPPPs and BMP maps.
Ability to perform NPDES inspections as needed.
Assist with daily assignments as needed.
Update internal documents with tasks from team and as new projects start.
Review assignments to ensure quality control is met.
Update internal documents.
Ability to professionally respond to internal and external clients.
Updates and coordinates projects.
Utilizes all tools with accurate notes.
Supports team to meet all deadlines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Accredited College degree (3) years of experience in Microsoft Office Products Ability to work with office technology (printers, scanners, computers, etc.
) State of Florida certificate of training for stormwater, erosion, and sedimentation control or ability to achieve within 45 days of starting job.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (1) year of experience in stormwater management, erosion control practices, infrastructure installations, or a related field or (3) years of experience in stormwater management, erosion control practices, infrastructure installations, or a related field Working knowledge of the FL CGP and Florida requirements for MSGP Valid motor vehicle operator's license and maintain acceptable driving record.
