Job Description Our Bus Technicians Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose basic diesel drivetrain issues Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance as needed/required.
Completes necessary paperwork as required.
Adapts to varying tasks according to changing volume and business needs.
Ensure DOT compliance.
Other tasks as needs arise, including non-bus/diesel repairs Supervisory Responsibilities Qualifications (may vary by level) 2 years maintenance, repair and diagnostic experience on medium duty diesel powered vehicles Knowledge of dual air conditioning systems, 12 volt lighting and HVAC systems, hydraulically boosted brake and steering systems and light duty diesel engines.
Must meet minimum DOT Inspector qualifications.
Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years medium duty diesel experience Prefer experience with Duramax Diesel and Allison 1000 transmissions Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to interpret and understand complex documented standards and procedures including repair orders, maintenance, and repair manuals.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform day-to-day physical tasks involving moderately demanding work including:
standing, kneeling, crawling, turning, and pushing or lifting moderately heavy objects.
Must possess all tools required.
Travel Requirements Minimal travel is required.
