Summary:
The Cook prepares food for our upcoming German Restaurant to detailed instructions, policies, procedures and recipes.
The Cook takes directions from higher authorities but is than also able to work independently, interprets recipes/work sheets/production schedules, and assists in training new hires or replacement cooks.
Prepare (Meat, Pasta, Soups, Burgers, Sausages) ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
Prepare cold foods.
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves.
Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
Monitor food quality while preparing food.
Set-up and break down work station.
Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
Required
Qualifications:
Ability to read write and speak English fluently.
German Speaker are very welcome! General knowledge of cooking and equipment including ovens, grills , blenders, slicers, grinders, and a variety of other small cooking equipment.
Experience using scales in order to check the accuracy of weights when issuing food.
Time Management skills Team Player and Drama free environment Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, etc.
) Creativity is very welcome! Please be flexible in your schedule as all shifts are available, including days, nights and weekends.

-Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, by using hands.
-Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
-Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
-Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
-Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or counters.
-Set up tables and chairs.
-Sweep or scrub floors.
-Clean garbage cans with water.
-Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
-Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
-Receive and store supplies.
-Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
Qualifications:
-Must posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members -Must be able to work unsupervised and supervised -Must be able to communicate clearly with managers,kitchen and dining room personnel.
-Must speak and read English -Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
-Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
-Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
-Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment Be a part of our Entertainment.
