RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Material Control Manager in performing material planning functions for assigned programs.
Enter and maintain purchase requisitions in Cost Point.
Follow up.
Create and maintain work orders in Cost Point.
Work with Production Supervisor to coordinate timely issuing of work orders to production.
Responsible for moving work orders to and from production.
Work with QA to ensure material is moving through in a timely fashion to support programs.
Includes prioritizing.
Other duties as assigned.
This is a temporary internship position :
April through December.
Must be able to work full time hours from April through December.
Qualifications :
High school education or equivalent and 3
years of related experience, may include coursework.
Fluent in English (verbal and written) Previous experience working in an MRP system (Cost Point preferred).
Background in electro:
mechanical assembly production Ability to read and understand BOMs and Assembly Drawings Prior Material Control / Production Planning experience Excellent organizational and problem solving skills Computer literate including MS Word and MS Excel Self:
starter and effective working independently Accuracy in Data entry Must be:
Dedicated to continuous improvement.

Ability to communicate at all levels and with all departments.

Physical requirements:
Lift and carry 20 :

Exhaust /fumes occasionally (working around adhesives, sealants and cured material).
