We are currently seeking an experienced Communications Manager Perform Other Duties as Instructed by Supervisor:
Yes Responsibilities & Duties:

Manages the trade media program including writing press releases, ad buys and working with the agency and trade media.
Develops web content and maintains the mango.
org site using the content management system, including page creation and updates.
Develops graphic presentations for outreach and extension meetings involving media, industry representatives and other parties.
Assists the Director of Marketing with editing and reviewing the corporate's Crisis Communication Plan and crisis internal communications.
Coordinates the development of the strategic plan and annual report based on continuing communications with management and staff.
Prepares internal communications for Board and committee meetings.
Assists the United States Department of Agriculture with oversight and review of corporate's materials.
Participates in staff meetings as well as program and administration pieces (i.
e.
booking travel, expenses, etc.
) Assures that National Mango Board brand is used consistently.
Assists other staff members with projects and programs.
Requirements:
Licenses; Special Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours and attend marketing and business outreach meetings, Board meetings, and educational programs.
Proficiency in the use of Spanish as a second language, including oral and written communication skills, is required.
Physical Demands:
Finger dexterity is required to operate computer hardware and office equipment.
The employee occasionally lifts and carries reports, files, and records, typically weighing less than 10 pounds.
Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Other sensory demands include hearing and speaking with others.

This position constantly works in an office setting.
Within the office, the noise level is frequently less than 80 decibels, with controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.
The employee may attend business meetings and conferences.
Qualifications:
Required:
Three or more years of writing, communications, and marketing promotion experience.
Desirable:
Media and communications experience involving commodity and not-for-profit organizations.
Knowledge of:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Skills:
Read and analyze crop production and consumer trend information and reports; read and interpret financial statements Ensure NMB imaging and communications are prepared in a consistent format; plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Exercise judgment and apply effective problem solving techniques Prepare sound recommendations Maintain effective relationships with management and staff, industry representatives, contractors, consultants, and vendors Communicate effectively, orally and in writing; Demonstrate proficiency in using computer hardware and word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, publishing, website, and database software applications Click here to apply.
