Job Summary
Gather disparate data from various data sources; analyze and normalize to ensure data integrity for analysis. Provide consistent, relevant and accurate data as well as guidance/knowledge of the data and definitions that are available for analysis.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
1. Serves as a resource to assigned client in area of expertise.
2. Gathers and compiles raw data; conducts research for industry trends and benchmarks; and normalizes data to be incorporated into a centralized data format.
3. Analyzes, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses.
4. Defines data definitions and documents data limitations.
5. Prepares spreadsheets for data analysis; prepare reports with charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps and ad hoc requests. May make presentations.
6. Provides recommendations based on findings and analysis. Provides input on policies and procedures.
7. Participates in department and interdepartmental projects.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope
9. Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
10. Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
11. May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.
Work Environment
12. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
13. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
14. No travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
15. Must be eighteen years of age
16. Must pass the Drug Test
17. Must pass the Background Check
18. Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
19. Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Responsible for providing operational leadership, reporting, and analysis to field management team. Serve as a strategic team member, driving functional metrics, controlling costs, and working closely with the business to achieve goals and create shareholder value.
o Extensive experience using spreadsheet and/or relational database software to manage, manipulate, and reconcile data sets
o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2007 (or higher), including chart creation, pivots and syntax for functions commonly used to parse data
o Extensive database query-writing experience in Microsoft Access 2007 (or higher)
o Understanding database design concepts, including relational database design concepts (table structure; one-to-many relationships)
o Some experience using business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy
o Conducts data analysis to diagnose root causes and develop solutions to drive process improvement
o Reviews and interprets financial and operational information driving key functional metrics
o Expertise with the assimilation of large volumes of raw data, understand, analyze, and present the various elements of complex sales, operations, and financial reports to field management
o Strong understanding of financial concepts and data
o Operations experience Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
