Orlando Sentinel is seeking a fall intern to join our team!

To assist the Non-Traditional Revenue Sales Division of the Advertising Department. This includes events, co-op, special sections, contest and sweepstakes in an effort to maintain advertising revenue in support of our Advertising Department. Maintaining current programs and developing new ones that will enhance the Orlando Sentinel (OS)and Orlando Sentinel .com multimedia portfolio to increase revenue.



Work with Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, marketing analysts, advertisers, other OS salespeople, and our outside media partners to ensure the proper processes are followed for presentations, billing, revenue tracking and reporting for multimedia advertising packages or sponsorship programs including radio, television, newspaper, niche publications and any other OS media properties.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Create proposals on PowerPoint

- Create collateral materials

- Set up appointments for sales calls/Job shadowing

- Distribute grass roots merchandising premiums

- Proof materials to customers

- Organize and monitor production deadlines

- Schedule advertiser and promotional ads

- Attend Orlando Sentinel events and help with their execution

- Attend brain-storming meetings to develop strategic advertising solutions for our clients

CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENT (JUNIOR OR SENIOR)


Skills/Experience Needed:
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Graphic Design (optional)
- Must be organized and detail oriented




Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
