The Operations Coordinator position for the Electrical Department assist in the pre-planning of electrical and other service needs on shows with exhibitors to obtain information on every show, so that we can execute the services on-site and install as much power required for the show prior to the exhibitor's arrival. Once on-site the team is moved into the various positions we must carry out on each show, service desk, dispatch desk and data entry coordinator. After each show the coordinator is also involved with helping exhibitor who need help clarifying their electrical billing.
Proactive contact to exhibitors to receive electrical orders.
Follow-up contact with exhibitors to clarify orders.
Transfer electrical orders to blueprints.
Process electrical orders and generate work orders for electrical labor.
Review and audit electrical orders against floor plans ensuring their accuracy.
Organize electrical orders to ensure correct dispatching at show site.
Effectively dispatch electrical labor at show site. Ensure proper work documentation and electrical billing accuracy.
Data entry and audit of electrical labor produced at show site.
Prioritize tasks & responsibilities to meet deadlines and complete highest priorities first.
Keep Managers and Team Managers up to date on all issues.
Attend all pre-cons and post cons per hotel invitation
Attend site visits, pre-planning meetings and walkthroughs when requested
Work closely with hotel accounting department for all bill postings to Master Accounts
Electrical permits for all tradeshows and productions
Month end reconciliation of all events/ orders from entire month
Collecting appropriate information for calendar entry for electricians scheduling
Perform all duties with the utmost integrity avoiding any conflict of interest between GES and any other entities.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Demonstrate leadership ability.
Must be proficient in MS Office program.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with little supervision.
Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and self-starter with an understanding of team goals.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
80%of the work is performed at the convention center, working in adverse temperature conditions, sitting and walking at/to the various service/dispatch desks.
Work may involve repetitive motion (i.e. constant keying, using fingers, or grasping of objects).
Work for long periods of time and be able to walk great distances on show floor.
