PROJECT ENGINEER / MECHANICAL
Direct Hire Opportunity, $45,000 to $55,000 per year, DOE
The Project Engineer shall provide leadership, direction, and functional support in several focus areas for the Project Engineering team, with emphasis on:
Preliminary design, drawings, and cost estimating for RFQ and Proposal support.
Technical process and mechanical expertise support for Sales Force, Customer activities.
Process and mechanical design of OEM and aftermarket Fluid and Mechanical Modular System orders.
Application engineering and supporting calculations for engineered equipment and system components.
Detailed piping, equipment and instrument drawings.
Project costs versus budget tracking and control.
Project schedule for the execution and timely completion of all project orders, including critical path issues.
Shop production support for rapid resolution of issues.
Factory testing and validation of system performance.
Customer liaise for all technical project issues and Management of Change process.
Provide technical and process improvement (through direct reporting) to the Engineering Manager.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Creation and preparation of cost estimates and proposals for customer request-for-bids packages.
Create mechanical fabrication drawings for skid base and support and mounting details for piping, equipment, vessels and control systems using AutoCAD and Solid Works design software.
Review and ensure the product build and project work package fulfill all requirements of customer purchase order for; identify and get clarifications on any discrepancies.
Create piping general arrangement, pipe routing, piping fabrication details, component location, and instrumentation diagrams using AutoCAD and Solid Works design software.
Prepare bill of materials to include drawings, specifications, and documents for procurement of materials, equipment, and
services
including budget, inspection, vendor documentation, and delivery requirements.
Prepare and issue production packages to include Bill of Materials, Drawings, test Packet, P&ID, Shop Packet (Traveler), and any other required forms to complete work.
Work with production, project support, and field service teams to prove technical integrity.
Conduct interval and final checks on work-in-process.
Negotiate with project stakeholders, including vendors, on technical requirements and approaches.
Perform project closeout, with focus on lessons learned.
Primary responsibilities include:
Accuracy of financial estimates and budgets.
Ensure projects are completed according to project plan, schedule, bill of materials, drawings, and specifications.
Provide inter-department coordination and in-process quality control, as well as real-time status of projects, including issues and highlights to stakeholders weekly throughout the project schedule.
Communications and Collaboration
Must communicate effectively in both oral and written forms, to a variety of stakeholders. He/she will disseminate clear and concise technical reporting essential for the products/projects and its team members and stakeholders.
Fiscal Responsibilities
The fiscal responsibilities include managing a budget for projects, and/or components of programs under the general direction of the Engineering Manager. Fulfills these duties drawing from a working knowledge of basic revenue models and cost-to-completion projections/budgets.
Skills and Experience
Working understanding of typical industrial codes, including NEC, CE, CSA, ASME, AWS, ANSI, API, ISA, and OSHA.
Fluid process design and control including design, specification and selection of piping, pump/motor sets, filter/separators, tank/vessel requirements, control valves, including sizing, and process control instrumentation; 10-15 years experience.
Gas Turbine Auxiliary Systems including fuel, water, steam, oil, and air; 5 or more years experience.
Mechanical design of packaged piping systems, including skid base frames; 5-10 years experience.
AutoCAD and Solid Works piping, structural design, 3-D modeling, FEA and creation of fabrication drawings; 5 or more years experience.
Familiarity and ability to read and understand piping and instrument diagrams, process flow diagrams, electrical schematics, and control logic diagrams; 5-10 years experience.
Working experience with ISA specification data sheets for instruments, electrical, mechanical, and safety equipment; minimum of 5 years experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
